A romantic vacation goes awry when a volcanic eruption strands Bethany and her soon-to-be fiancé, Rob, in Warsaw. Bethany takes the explosive event as a sign, and reunites with childhood friend Nel. Together, they traipse across lofts, clubs and back alleys, all the while becoming entangled in an emotional web that challenges her sense of self.

Premiering at TIFF, "Erupcja" marks the big-screen debut of Letterboxd member Charli xcx, starring alongside Lena Góra and Will Madden in a script co-written by all four leads. From Pete Ohs and Jeremy O. Harris, whose film "The True Beauty of Being Bitten by a Tick" appeared as an Unreleased Gem on Letterboxd Video Store — a sun-drenched, city-drunk portrait of two women rediscovering each other in Warsaw.
