Premiering in competition at the 2025 Cannes Film Festival, the third feature from Spanish filmmaker Carla Simón continues the semi-autobiographical approach of her Golden Bear-winning "Alcarràs" and her debut "Summer 1993." Set in 2004, it follows an eighteen-year-old orphan who travels to the Galician coast to meet her father's family for the first time, and finds herself unearthing the truth about his death with her mother's diary in hand. A sensory, time-slipping meditation on grief, loss and the ties that bind, it casts a spell that lingers long after the screen fades to black.
